The Corrupt Leader L. Ron Hubbard is known for being the founder of the Church of Scientology and not as well known for his deceitful financial tactics. Operation “Snow White” While you wish this were a Disney sequel, Operation Snow White was a major criminal conspiracy perpetrated by the Church of Scientology. The Mysterious Death of Lisa McPherson Lisa McPherson was a follower of the Church of Scientology until her untimely and mysterious death in 1995. Good Touch Bad Touch Part 2 Donald Anthony Strawn, a long-time member of the church was convicted of the molestation of 2 girls, ages 11 and 13. Operation Freakout It’s best not to speak out against the Church of Scientology or you might just have a poorly titled operation carried out against you. Operation Daniel Never before has the Church of Scientology hated someone as much as they hated Paulette Cooper. Before Operation Freakout there was Operation Daniel. Operation Dynamite Operation Dynamite was the Church of Scientology’s 3rd and most devious attempt to have Paulette Cooper incarcerated or put in a psychiatric institution. The Murder Hotel Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, Florida has long been the venue for Scientology retreats but not everyone returns. The Fatal Pilgrimage of Roger Nind Roger Nind was an Australian Scientologist who left the Church in 1992 because of moral differences. Harriet Baker Harriet Baker was an elderly woman and a member of the Church of Scientology. Pets can be very loyal and in some cases they are able to save their owners life when something bad happened to them. Here are some pets who saved their owners. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Pets Who Saved Their Owners Let's face it we can't leisurely look through Instagram without coming across an adorable puppy or kitten photo, and what would our days be like without these cute and cuddly critters?\ Kelsey New Year's Eve is an exceptionally fun and exciting time for most individuals, but this wasn't the case for one Michigan man. The man was watching a football game and decided to go outside for commercial break to get some firewood when he slipped and fell on the ice. Fidge We've heard of a cat scan, but this might be a little extraordinary. This heroic animal might just be what hospitals all over the country need to order. One woman claimed that her pet cat, Fidge ended up saving her life. She alerted her of her Breast Cancer diagnosis before it was too late. Dopey Don't be fooled by the name because Dopey is an intelligent dog with a special gift. There's plenty of research that prove dogs can sense when their owners will have an epileptic seizure. One strong bond was formed by a 12-year-old and his 4-year-old service dog named Dopey. Sergeant Stubby Dogs really are man's best friend, especially if that man happens to be a soldier in World War 1. Sergeant Stubby became the official mascot of the 102nd Infantry Regiment of the U.S in the first World War. He served 18 months and was active in seventeen battles on the Western Front. Nanook Dogs are pretty great swimmers, but there are quite a few breeds that don't take so keenly to the waters. Lucky for one man that's not the case with this chocolate Labrador named Nanook. Ferocious Lion Saviors It's hard to imagine a world that exists where little girls can be kidnapped from their families and then be beaten and raped until they give in to marrying a person. That kind of world does exist, but lucky for this little girl she had some help from the top of nature's food chain, three lions came to her rescue after she had been missing for a number of days and was being attacked by seven men. Lily The tornado that went through Joplin, Missouri was one of the most devastating ones to ever hit the United States. There was one sweet pup who worked tirelessly during rescue efforts and saved many people in the aftermath of the tornado. Killian It's easy to understand why parents have started putting nanny cams in their house just as a precaution, but lucky for this family that it was their pet dog who ended up saving their young son from abuse. The South Carolina babysitter was arrested after being attacked by a dog, but it turned out the dog was actually protecting his 7-month old owner. Heroic Bear One unexpected savior came when a senior citizen was hiking and a mountain lion suddenly attacked. The lion ended up biting down on the California man's arm, but he was lucky enough to be saved by a bear. The bear ran from a nearby area and scare off the mountain lion. LuLu If you first came across LuLu, the potbellied pig you probably wouldn't think much of her. Lulu's owner suffered a heart attack while vacationing in the Northern woods of Pennsylvania. Togo No plane or ship could reach an isolated Alaskan village known as Nome in 1925 and the town was struck by a case of diphtheria. This is spread through the air and takes two to five days for symptoms to occur.

A large area in the Atlantic where planes and boats mysteriously disappear Without a Trace. There've been thousands of stories to come from the Bermuda Triangle in attempts to explain the strange phenomenon but few offer concrete evidence. But you might be surprised that the bermuda triangle isnt the only crazy location on earth. The dyatlov pass If you wanted around the darkest parts of YouTube for long enough you have undoubtedly come across the story of the dyatlov pass. Going on a camping trip after graduating college with some of your best friends sounds like a great idea. That is exactly what 10 students from the Ural Polytechnic University did in 1959. On the morning of February 2nd 1959 the group of students set out On their hike. The South Atlantic anomaly. In the South Atlantic regions including much of South America and parts of South Africa there is a belt of cosmic radiation that causes severe interference for our technology. This this is called in Van Allen radiation which is a product of Earth's magnetic field holding onto charged particles from solarwinds and other Cosmic radiation. These zones in which the particles float are called radiation belts and in the case of the Earth's belt they are called Van Allen belts as they were discovered by James Van Allen. The Devil's Sea. The Devil's Sea is sometimes referred to as the Bermuda Triangle of the Pacific. the reason you probably haven't heard about it is that it is usually only referenced in Japanese culture as it lies just off the coast of Japan 100 km south of Tokyo. Point Pleasant, West Virginia West Virginia is a scary place and not just because it's the meth capital of America. The name Point Pleasant might ring a bell is it was the backdrop for the popular Richard Gere movie, The Mothman Prophecies. The movie was the dramatic retelling of the events that took place in the town of Point Pleasant from November 1966 to December 1967. Bridgewater Triangle, Massachusetts. Besides sports teams New England has little to offer with the exception of a couple haunted spots. This 200-mile expanse lies in the Southeastern part of the state just a few miles south of Boston. What makes this place so interesting is that it's famous for Supernatural, extraterrestrial, cryptozoological, and just plain old murderous activity. The Bridgewater Triangle first came to Media attention in the 1970s when people hiking through the forest claim to see reptile like birds that resembled pterodactyls. Just a few years after that another man hiking through the woods claim to see a Savage Hound so large it was able to eviscerate 2 of his horses. On another occasion a different group of people claim to see cult activity in the area. San Luis Valley, Colorado. you might remember us mentioning the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado in a previous video. This was the place where a cattle rancher came out to find almost all of his livestock dead completely skinned alive with some of their organs almost surgically removed. maybe the most interesting part is that many of these animals were bled dry.

Disney is known for its nice and happy movie productions for the youth but you would never believe these mysterious stories about the Walt Disney Company. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Who would have thought that the happiest place on earth is also the creepiest? What many don’t know is that Disney has a tremendous amount of ghost sightings. Haunted Mansion Ghosts The Haunted Mansion seems to be the most appropriate place for a Disney spirit to hang out, and there definitely isn’t a shortage of spooky stories that emerge from the allegedly haunted attraction Unknown Little Boy We’ll begin our spooky stories with that of a little boy that is said to haunt the Haunted Mansion. A Bizarre Memorial That little boy in the picture isn’t the only child that loves to play in the mansion...there’s another one, but this one is a tad bit creepier. Ghostly Employee Unlike the eerie little boys that disrupt the Haunted Mansion ride, this next ghost might just prove to be more helpful. Pirates of the Caribbean Ghosts While the Haunted Mansion seems to be the most obvious place to find a ghost, the Pirate of the Caribbean ride is another popular spirit hot spot. George George is definitely the most famous Pirates of the Caribbean spirit. According to legend, a man named George, who worked as a construction worker in the early 1970s, helped build the ride but died a tragic death on the job. Other Pirates of the Caribbean Ghosts There are a few other ghosts that have been seen roaming around the inside of this popular attraction. Other Ghost Sightings While most of the famous ghosts are seen on two of the park’s most popular rides, they aren’t the only places you can go ghost hunting. The Unamused Ghost When one individual boarded the Dinosaur ride in the Animal Kingdom, an undistinguished older man sat down next to him. Haunted Dolls According to the word on the street, several Disney employees loved working at the It’s a Small World ride so much that they never really left. The Tower of Terror Bellhop One of the employees that was hired to be a Tower of Terror bellhop died from a heart attack during his shift. Space Mountain Hitchhiker If you ever find yourself sitting next to an empty seat on Space Mountain, it probably won’t be empty for long. Roy Disney Some Disney guests have claimed to see the ghost of Walt Disney co-founder Roy Disney on Main Street U.S.A. Every time he’s spotted, he’s smiling. These are just some of the ghost sightings and stories that we found floating around. We’re sure there are other Disney legends and ghostly tales that we haven’t heard of. Do you know something about the haunted Disney parks that we don’t? Tell us in the comments below!

People are intrigued by mysteries and places with maximum security. Join us as we explore some of the most guarded places on earth. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list There’s nothing curious people love more than mysteries and places with maximum security. And over the past few years, skeptics have managed to question what’s behind close doors of almost any government protected building that ever existed. And with questions came theories. So join us as we explore some of the most guarded places on Earth! First on our list are the Vatican Secret Archives When it comes to privacy, the Vatican sure knows how to keep things a secret. These archives were founded in 1612 and the word on the street is they were completely closed to the public until 1881. Accredited catholic scholars were then allowed to have a sneak peek - of course with heavy restrictions. The next on our list is Fort Knox. Much like the Vatican Archives, Fort Knox also holds some of the most important historical documents along with a whooping 147.3 million of ounces of gold. It’s worth about 270 billion dollars and you bet your sweet bippy many people would love to get their hands on just an ounce of these bars. You wanna know what’s even more secured than Fort Knox? The Federal Reserve Bank in New York. Makes it hard to believe when it’s located in one of the most buzzing cities in the world, right? Turns out, it’s true. Alright, what’s next? Ever heard of the Iron Mountain. Nope, it’s not a title of a movie. It’s a storage facility in Boston, Massachusetts, holding records of management, information destruction, and data backup, with recovery services supplied to more than 150,000 customers - 95% of the owners are confidential. Alright, enough of this vault talk. Let’s get down to interesting and unexplainable mysteries. Area 51 is a favorite topic for any person who just can’t stop talking about aliens. The location is quite unusual and accessible enough to attract plenty of curious onlookers. But it’s not that easy. Located in the south of Nevada, Area 51 has been a mystery ever since people started noticing unusual activities around this so called military installation. Things are getting a bit more interesting aren’t they? Next we have the Korean Demilitarized Zone, which is just a strip of land, but it’s probably one of the most protected strip of land we’ve ever heard of. The last on our list is no other than Air Force One, probably one of the most secure aircrafts in the world We’re sure you’ve heard of Air Force One before - the plane that carries the president of United States. For that reason alone, you can bet that the plane and the entire landing area are surrounded by maximum security - so no, you probably won’t be able to stand near Air Force One anytime soon.So don’t get your hopes up of ever catching a sight of Air Force One - you’ll have more luck spotting an alien at Area 51.

There are a lot of unanswered questions about mysteries in history. We explore some of the most overlooked mysteries in history. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list It is the fate of some questions to go unanswered throughout the ages, but even these unresolved issues can become neglected when enough time passes. Coming up… Poseidon’s ancient city, European mummies, lost civilizations, and more. Join us as we explore some of the most overlooked mysteries in history! City of Helike When you worship the god of the sea, you might do well to fear his wrath if you anger him. The Greek writer Pausanias described an amazing city called Helike that worshipped Poseidon and was a bustling metropolis of trade, commerce, and religion… until it was destroyed. Carnac Stones Stonehenge is a famous and long-standing architectural and historical mystery, but it’s not alone in this category. The Carnac stones are a lesser known but equally confusing phenomenon. The Fall of the Minoans The legend of Theseus and the minotaur in the labyrinth is a wonderful tale, but it raises some unanswered historical questions. On the island of Crete, where this wonderful civilization did in fact prosper, despite a story of bull-headed demi gods, there lie the ruins of an ancient civilization whose extinction is still a mystery. Tarim Mummies Finding well-preserved bodies is always an interesting day in the life of an archeologist, but some of these graves provide more questions than they answer. In the Tarim basin of Western China, a team on a dig discovered two thousand year old mummies in early 1990s. Easter Island There are many obvious mysteries about Easter Island, and almost all of them are centered around the giant, iconic heads that litter the landscape. But these photogenic monuments take away from one of the deeper, more subtle mysteries. Rongorongo predates the statues, and is a manuscript describing a language of possibly the first inhabitants of the island. Bog Bodies The preservation power of tar pits allows us to take a deeper look at ancient creatures like the wooly mammoth, but when it comes to humans, things get a bit weirder. The marshes and wetlands of Northern Europe are home to a number of interesting, boggy landscapes, but as a traveler you might be inclined not to dig too deeply. Jack The Ripper Some crimes go so long without being solved that the cold case just gets buried in the decades. For over one hundred years, various historians, crime-writers, and detectives have been trying to solve the identity of the man known as Jack the Ripper. The Mary Celeste There are many mysterious disappearances that take place in the vast realm of the sea. In 1872 the American merchant ship The Mary Celeste departed New York for Genoa on November the seventh. A Canadian ship found her off of the coast of Azores Islands completely adrift. Devil’s footprints Some historical mysteries lead in a direction that few want to follow. In the early morning of February 9th, 1855, townsfolk in southern Devon came across a set of footprints that chilled their hearts and raised some pretty severe questions. A single, straight line of footprints looked as if it had been branded in the deep snow with a hot iron. Voynich Manuscript Just because something is an unknown mystery for the ages, doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful. The Voynich manuscript is what remains of a large, elaborate book dating back to the early fourteen hundreds. What makes this article unique is that it’s in a language no one has ever seen before, and no one knows what the book is about. Indus Valley The collapse of the Mayan metropolis was impressive and well-studied, as the society crumbled due largely to disease brought by the conquistadors. It’s odd then that a similar ruined civilization in India should receive so little attention, considering its size and the mystery of its decline. This concludes our list of most overlooked mysteries in history. What baffling ancient secret did you find most compelling? What odd historical unknown did we miss? Let us know in the comments below.

Old people commit crimes and break the law too. Some even rob banks! Check out these bad grandpa's and grandma's who all got in trouble with the police. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Not every little old lady is as sweet as your grandmother, and not every old man is as crippled as he looks. Just because they’re elderly doesn’t mean they’re innocent. Drug Dealer Grandma This granny’s got more than butterscotches and tissues in her purse. And that smell isn't her dental cream...It’s the rank odor of crime. Darlene Mayes, a 75-year-old grandmother living in Vinita, Oklahoma, puts most drug dealers to shame Strapped for Cash Apparently, social security just wasn’t cutting it….so what do these elderly men decide to do? Rob a bank, naturally. In April 2010, former mobsters 73-year-old Jerry Scalise, 71-year-old Arthur Rachel, and 69-year-old Robert Pullia were plotting to rob a La Grange bank in Chicago. Not only that, they were also planning on robbing the home of late former mob leader Angelo LaPietra. Sandy Jell-O Who wants to pay for something when you can find a way to get it for free? That’s what this elderly couple did, except they weren’t clipping coupons. Toys for Granny Next time you’re grandparents come to your house for the holidays bearings tons of gifts, you may want to ask where they came from. Seventy-three-year-old Virginia Kelly, who just so happens to be a foster mother and the president of the Latino Foster Parents Association, turned out to be a real-life Grinch, stealing Christmas from poor children for years. Playing with Fire If you think you hate your in-laws, check this out. This family drama all started with a marriage and a dowry. Don’t Mess with Grandpa’s Cash If you think you want a career helping the elderly, you may want to reconsider. In 2009, James Amburn, an American financial advisor living in West Germany, had invested approximately 2,496,500 dollars on behalf of a bunch of elderly German pensioners, promising a 12 percent return. Geriatric Bonnie & Clyde This husband-and-wife duo proves that not all old people should be trusted. Ray, who was no stranger to theft and forgery, married Faye soon after he was released from jail due to petty crimes. As their need for money increased with each child born into their family, his crimes intensified. Hatton Garden Burglary This next crime earned the title, “Largest Burglary in English Legal History”...and yup, it was committed by a bunch of old guys. While old, they were definitely seasoned veterans. Once the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company locked its doors for Easter in 2015, four elderly men, ranging from 58 to 76 years old, entered the area through a lift shaft and then drilled holes into the nearly 20-inch-thick vault wall to get around the main vault door.

These prisoners attempted some of the dumbest prison escape or break attempts that were ever tried. Prison break has nothing on these prisoners, or does it...? Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list The thought of going to prison isn’t exactly the most soothing thing in the world. Being told when to sleep, when to wake up, when you can eat.. and then trying to determine what youre eating while watching your back and hoping you don’t take a shank in the kidney. We start easy with the story of James Russell who was spending some time away from home in the Olympic Corrections center in Washington. Russell decided he wasn’t happy with his accommodations any more and that he would get out of the minimum security facility with no more than a mild plan to borrow a phone from the first person he came across. Maybe Russell would have had more success had he implemented the plan of Kenneth Burnum, but then again.. maybe not. Kenneth Burnum decided his best bet for getting out of jail was to impersonate someone else. The only problem is that the person he chose to be was black. Andrew joseph Wilson is another high IQ inmate on our list as his escape attempt defies all logic and intelligence. Wilson was sentenced to only 20 days in the slammer for his crimes of burglary, theft. But prisoners aren’t only this dumb in America, the stupidity spreads all across the world.. like one now infamous prisoner in Brazil who got stuck in a hole in the wall while trying to make his escape. Now most people who plan to tunnel out or get out via a small opening would spend weeks planning, digging, and ultimately trying to lose weight to make sure that their plan went off without any issues. But one unfortunate prisoner out of a gang of four had obviously been hitting the commissary a little too hard as on his attempt through the hole, he got stuck. Ranking high on our list of top prison escape movies of all time is the shawshank redemption in which tim robbins delivers a highly regarded and epic performance of a man who escapes prison through unlikely circumstance. Also in prison escape attempts that stunk, William Alves decided he was tired of working in the prison kitchen and decided he would excuse himself from his sentence by stuffing himself in a trash can, covering up with leftovers and rotted food and would simply wait to be dumped. Also inspired by the media and their portrayals of high class prison escapes, two men at a Louisville Kentucky prison got the bright idea to tie a bunch of bed sheets together and slither down the outer wall of their facility. The only problem is the men were either never boy scouts.. or sailors, because their make shift bed sheet ropes failed them miserably. And in a more conventional approach, four inmates at the meade county jail in Sturgis decided rather than concoct some fancy scheme or escape plan, they would simply just fight their way out. At approx. 2 in the morning during a cell check, they decided to assault the guard making the rounds and then simply go bloodsport all the way to freedom. Ralph Wilson was equally as smart when he tried to escape the ripley county jail by prying some fencing apart. The only issue is that he tried to do it at 415 in the afternoon, in broad daylight, while the prison was hustling and bustling. And in perhaps the most creative and outlandish attempt at escape, a man who obviously didn’t have a pilots license or a certification with the FAA did his best attempt at reenacting Indiana Jones and the last crusade when he and his cohorts tried a Hollywood style escape attempt that even Michael bay would be baffled by.

Recently a lot of awesome scientific things have been discovered. Let’s take a look at the unbelievable scientific discoveries of 2016. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list 2016 has been a particularly busy year for science. In this year alone, we’ve made significant progress in many discoveries. It all started in January 2016 - precisely on January 1st in Malibu, California. Researchers from HRL Laboratories achieved a breakthrough in ceramic 3D printing tecnology and took 3D printing to a whole another level. Alright, what’s next on the list? January was also the month where scientists made people question their New Year resolution dietary choices by discovering a new enzyme called G3PP which prevents sugar being stored as fat. Also known as the ‘detox enzyme,’, G3PP can be found in all types of body tissue and it seems to be able to regulate the conversion of glucoes and fats and the production of energy. January 2016 was also the month of first head transplants being successfully carried out on a monkey by Chinese scientists. Sure, it might seem bizarre, but this is really a significant progress for neuro science. We’ve also discovered a ninth planet! And no, Pluto’s still not back in the game. While the space enthusiasts still mourn the loss of Pluto, California Institute of Technology kept busy and discovered evidence of a ninth planet which is orbiting the sun every 15,000 years. February’s discovery was slightly different - the University of Southampton announced a revolutionary step toward creating 5D data storage which can survive for billions of years. So what does this mean exactly? March marked the discovery of the most remote galaxy ever detected, called GN-z11. This fascinating galaxy is 13.4 billion light years away and "very close to the end of the so-called Dark Ages of the universe" - no, this is not sarcasm, this is the actual report. Heading into April, NASA astronomers discovered an asteroid called HO3 2016, orbiting around the sun and the Earth. Scientists refer to it as the “quasi-satellite of Earth” as it appears to be quite locked into its pathway around the Eart and is 9 million miles away. If you’re ever complaining about your slow computer, this one’s for you - June marked the discovery of the world’s fastest supercomputer. Called Sunway TaihuLight, this absolutely massive system claims to be the world’s fastest computer. Depression is still a big mystery in the medical world but in August 2016, researchers made significant progress when it comes to defining genes associated with depression. Ever wondered what is the longest living vertebrate animal on Earth? August 2016, researchers revealed it is the Greenland shark, found to be capable of living nearly 400 years. Fascinated about meteorites? The next discovery will blow you away - in September, we have discovered the second largest meteorite ever found, located in Argentina. In an extremely interesting September discovery, all non-african humans currently alive on Earth can be easily traced into a single group that exited Africa about 50,000 years ago September seemed to be quite an eventful month for science, huh? In baby news, a first mitochondrial donation baby was born in the UK. Ever heard of the three-parent technique? Here’s one for caffeine addicts - next time someone gives you crap about your caffeine consumption, tell them this: on October 3rd 2016, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee found that caffeine consumption might reduce the risk of dementia in women by whooping 36 percent. Ever wanted to see what a functioning brain looks like in real life? Done for the first time ever by the scientists at the Rockefeller University who used a technique called light sculpting to see real life neurons of a mouse brain in 3-D. And we’re nearing the end of the year - in December, UC Berkley designed one of the coolest robots we’ve ever seen. Known by the name of Salto, researchers managed to designed a robot that can literally do parkour and impressive acrobatics. Now hold up, we’re not done yet. Possibly the cutest discovery award of 2016 goes to the Googly Eyed Stubbly Squid, found by the Researchers from the Nautilus exploration vessel somewhere off the California coast.

Jupiter has around 67 known moons, many of which have become a point of interest to scientists that are in search of extraterrestrial life. The Multiverse Europeans once believed that they were the only country in existence and then they discovered “The New World”. The names you need to know are Kate Florence and Henry Morley. They were lovers - he was 40 years old and she was 19. He wwas the owner of the confectionery shop and she was his counter assistant. So how did they end up on the Titanic? They planned to get married on the ship and start a new life together. Morley left his wife and his young daughter to be with Kate and gave her a valuable sapphire necklace. Sounds familiar, huh? Unfortunately, the two never had the happily ever after they wanted. After the iceberg struck, Kate managed to escape the disaster and was taken in the very last lifeboat. And Morley? Unfortunately, he wasn’t so lucky. Here’s a name you should know: Robert Hopkins His heroism was never recognized, even though it was portrayed in the blockbuster movie. But the fact was, Robert Hopkins was one of the unnamed Titanic heroes and only 73 years after his death did his gravestone finally recognize him for his actions. Alcohol saved one man from death on the Titanic Titanic’s chief baker, Charles Joughin, was known as the last survivor to leave the RMS Titanic. His life could’ve been saved when he was assigned captain of the lifeboat 10, the same lifeboat Masabumi Hosono jumped onto. But after seeing that three men were already operating the boat, he realized there was no chance. A book about the sinking of the Titanic was written 14 years before Titanic sunk We’ve all heard of people coincidentally predicting the future, but this is the one that’s truly mindblowing. In 1898, Morgan Robertson published a novella called Futility. It was a story about the largest ship ever built and called unsinkable by its British owners. Here’s the weird part: the plot of the story could’ve easily been the plot of the Titanic - well, umm, actually, it is the plot of the Titanic. The details are so similar, it freaked out many conspiracy theorists.

You may have heard stories about the cursed doll Annabelle from the movie The Conjuring but Annabelle isn’t the only doll who is a scary paranormal haunted doll. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Cursed Dolls Everyone grew up with that one doll in their house that you could havesworn was watching you whenever you walked into the room. Maybe every time you turned back around it was sitting in a different position, or maybe its eyes just seemed to follow your every movement. You probably wondered if the doll was actually alive or if anyone in your family even owned it. These are just a few examples of situations that people have experienced around the world when trifling with dolls they believed to be cursed. While we can't promise that any of these porcelain punks is Chuckey's bride we assure you that these stories are anything but child's play. Annabelle Why not start with one of the most famous cases of cursed dolls. The story of the Annabelle doll was first popularized by the hit horror movie The Conjuring in 2013 & then once again in a separate movie simply called "Annabelle" a year later. The story of the doll begins with 2 college room mates in 1970, one girl, Donna, who had just began nursing school at the beginning of the year. While out shopping Donna's mother came across a large Raggedy Anne doll and felt the strange feeling that Donna might want it for her new apartment so she purchased it from a consignment shop. Donna happily accepted the gift and at this point all things were normal, but this was not a situation that would last long. Joliet A curse passed from generation to generation like male pattern baldness but slightly more sinister. The story of Joliet the doll is one that is sure to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. There is a family who has endured a curse for 4 generations that kills the male child of the family with in 3 days of his birth. The curse began when a pregnant woman was gifted a strange doll from a jealous and vengeful acquaintance. It was said the lady went on to have twins, 1 boy & 1 girl. Honorable Mention Okiku It is said right after the first world war there was a young girl named Okiku who lived in the Japanese city of Iwamizawa. The 2-year old girl's 17-year-old brother purchased Okiku a doll as a souvenir while he was visiting a marine exhibition in the city. The doll had distinct short black hair, was dressed in ornate clothing, and had hallowed black eyes. The boy's sister loved the doll and played with it as often as she could. That was until she suddenly died of a cold. Her parents decided to keep the doll in their house as a shrine to their daughter. Robert The Doll One of the more famous dolls in the history of possessed objects is Robert The Doll. The doll served as the inspiration for the murderous doll Chuckey in the 1988 film Child's Play. While a knife wielding, homicidal doll sounds terrifying, the story behind the real doll is nowhere near as violent but is twice as unsettling. The doll first appeared in the late 19th century in the Otto family & the doll itself belonged to the future turn of the century painter, Robert Eugene Otto, who preferred the name Gene. The Otto family had hired a Haitian maid to look after Otto throughout the day, this was until Mrs. These have been just a few cursed dolls from around the world. Let us know some of your favorite cursed dolls in the comments below. In case there is ever a house fire you know who to blame and what not to save.

Beaches are known to be relaxing and beautiful but these beaches are dangerous because of their wildlife. These are 8 dangerous beaches that you will want to avoid at all costs Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list If you seen the movie Jaws or possibly that terrible movie with Blake Lively in it you should have a healthy fear of going into the water. But sharks are not the only thing that make beaches dangerous there numerous reasons why a beach might earn such an unfriendly label. From erupting volcanoes to cantankerous creatures here we will explore some of the most dangerous beaches around the world. Kauai Hawaii you wouldn't have guessed that one of the world's most popular vacation spots would also be one of the most dangerous beaches on the planet. For years this has served as Hollywood's for Vietnamese rainforest and the backdrop to your favorite Jurassic Park movies. Kauai nicknamed The Garden isle is famous for its tropical rainforests and generally favorable weather has a dark secret that has taken 83 bodies in recent years. Gansbaai, South Africa You might be familiar with the name of this Beach as a video went viral in the past few years showing a great white shark breaching a cage with the diver inside. South Africa is well known for not having the best beach security and maintenance. While some of the more affluent can afford places that are well-kept and out of Reach from our generously tooth friends the poor people are often subject to waiting into shark infested waters on the less maintain side of the coast. Kilauea Hawaii Once again Hawaii makes the list but once again it is not for an abundance of sharks. As you might no Hawaii's notorious for it's Volcanoes National Park and it's black sand beaches of Kilauea. Unknown to many Mount Kilauea is still a very much active volcano. Since 1983 it has continuously been losing molten rock down into the beaches and from time-to-time has even been known to erupt. Fraser Island Australia Well, you're in Australia so you should probably expect to die anyway but taking a visit to Fraser Island might be a quicker way to reach the grave. Frasier Ireland and the city's north and south of it are notorious for having some of the most dangerous beaches on the continent. The Waters of the island are known for their strong rip currents and I've taken many a surfer to their death over the past few decades. Northern Australia As we just said find a YouTube video of some pretty Australians talking and stay away from this entire continent. The sphere of danger is so large in this part of Australia it couldn't be isolated to a single Beach so we chose to identify an entire territory. Specifically we are talking about the Northern Territory of Australia whose waters are home to the infamous box jellyfish otherwise known as those venomous jellyfish that will kill you. Beaches Of The Amazon Once again the radius of tear is too wide to be narrowed down to a single Beach so we must simply name a continent. In this case it's South America and beaches along the Amazon rainforest. As you may know much of the Amazon rainforest is unexplored and new species of animals are found there by the thousands every decade. New Smyrna Beach, Florida Speaking of Florida let's take a visit to another Beach that has been nicknamed the shark attack capital of the world. New Smyrna Beach located in Volusia County has the highest recorded number of shark attacks in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Volusia County has multiple other beaches in it that do not Trail far behind. thus far there been 238 recorded attacks at New Smyrna Beach but we are sure that is far from over because old people don't listen and Floridians arent the most perceptive people in the country. Cape tribulation Australia We here at World 5 like to give credit where credit is due and we would like to come in Cape tribulation Australia for not deceiving its potential parishioners with a flowery name and then surprising them with Pandora's box of evils. Cape tribulation lets you know up front it isn't here for a good time. so what makes Cape tribulation the least ideal vacation destination? There are hundreds of inhospitable beaches out in the world but few stand close to the ones on this list. While some have sharks, some may even have a few unsavory malcontents at least they don't have anacondas, box jellyfish, dingoes, the realest iteration of an Angry Bird outside an over rated iPhone app. Let us know some of your favorite dangerous beaches from around the world in the comments below.

Science has explanations to many questions in different fields, but for these miracle happenings not even science has any answers. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Every now and then scientists come across an event that doesn't seem like it can be explained rationally. Many of these situations are seen in f quantum physics but this is mostly due to our lack of understanding in the field. Some of the most interesting stories that science can’t explain come from the medical field. These stories range from the disappearance of a fatal disease to people returning from the dead. Join us as we look at various miracles that science can’t explain. Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck How does someone who has been dead for 14 hours call out for help? That is exactly the mystery that Spanish Fork police have been unable to answer. Early one morning on the Spanish Forks River officer Bryan Dewitt received call from a local claiming that there was an overturned car in the river. The man on the phone said that he could hear a baby crying and someone screaming from within. The water was rushing far too fast for him to reach the car so he was unable to help. Police immediately rushed to the scene of the accident and began trying to reach the overturned vehicle. Sharyn Mackay Here is one of the most popular medical miracles that science was unable to explain. You might remember back in 2009 where a woman from Northern Ireland was diagnosed with spindle cell carcinoma. She was one of 10 cases where the disease had spread to her kidneys. Doctors told Mackay that many of the most lethal tumors were inoperable and chemotherapy was likely going to be ineffective. In true Irish fashion they told her to grab a beer because it was time to tell her family that she was not going to make it through the year. Mackay and her family were devastated by the news. Ruby Graupera-Cassimiro You have undoubtedly heard stories about people going for a few minutes without a pulse and returning to life via the magic of defibrillators. But rarely do you hear stories of people coming back and living normal lives after the 5 minute mark. It is after this 5 minute mark where your brain begins to experience permanent damage due to oxygen deprivation. Despite this little fact there have been some people who have returned to the land of the living without experiencing any adverse effects from their temporary death. Grayson Kirby If you participate in a demolition derby or bull riding you should expect to get a few broken bones every now and then. Grayson Kirby decided to take the risk of participating in a derby and got a little bit more than he bargained for. During the competition he was part of a nearly fatal wreck. Nearly 50% of the bones in his body were either broken or outright crushed in the accident. Both of his lungs were collapsed and he had severe organ damage and internal bleed. In the ambulance the paramedics said that they were unsure if he would make it to the hospital. Water-house Friderichsen Syndrome Water-house Friderichsen Syndrome it might sound like a textbook publishing company but it is actually a rare blood disease. This bacterial blood infection often causes massive hemorrhaging into the adrenal gland. The symptoms that follow usually include low blood pressure, comas, organ failures and shock. The infection can be brought on for a number of reasons from meningitis to pneumonia. In the case of a medical student in 1975 it was the latter. While the disease is treatable if dealt with in a timely fashion it usually leaves the patient incredibly disabled. In the case of this medical student she was working at a facility that had a 0% success rate with the infection. These have been some of the strangest miracles that science can't explain. Let us know some of your favorite miracles in the comments below. The Creatures in this list look and act so bizarre that they could be straight from your worst nightmare. You might not believe that these creatures and animals actually exist but they really do! Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Most of us have affection for cute pets, and baby animals. A tiny sloth yawning, or a kitten nuzzling a puppy just makes you smile. Well, sometimes nature makes animals you wouldn’t want to see in a dark alley. Coming up… Monstrous fish, Stinging ants, underwater goblins, and more! Join us as we explore some Nightmare Animals! Giant Isopod We head to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean for our first nightmare creature. The giant isopod looks like something out of Aliens and is an armored sea critter that can grow up to twenty inches in length. Coconut Crab You’d think with a name like the “Coconut Crab” the animal itself would be a little cuter. Well… It’s named that way because it can crush coconuts in its incredible pincers. They can grow up to three feet long and weigh up to nine pounds. Anglerfish This next addition is a fish with a bright idea, but a horrific face. The Anglerfish is an expert hunter that uses a bioluminescent growth atop its head to lure smaller fish into its terrifying jaws. They live in the darkness of the deep sea, but when seen in the light these beasts are straight out of a nightmare. Japanese Giant Hornet We travel to Japan for our next entry, for a monster that does real ecological work… as well as being truly terrifying. The Japanese Giant Hornet is the world’s largest, growing to two inches long with a wingspan a shade longer. Sea Pigs Our next nightmare creature lives at the bottom of one of the deepest parts of the sea, the aptly named “Abyssal Plain”. The sea pig looks somewhere between gross and terrifying, but is just a relative of the sea cucumber and starfish. Goblin Shark We head to the deep sea of the three major oceans for our next monstrosity, and this one is almost mythical in its hideousness. The Goblin Shark is nature at its weirdest, displaying its pink skin and living in the very depths of the sea. Bullet Ant The next creature straight out of your nightmare inhabits the floor of South American rainforests and is known by many terrifying and descriptive names. The Bullet ant can grow to over and inch long and holds the record for the most painful sting in the insect world. Puss Caterpillar Sometimes the nightmare creatures you fear live right in your backyard. This might be the case if you live in the Southern United States, between Carolina and Florida. The Puss caterpillar looks a lot like a Persian cat, and seems like it would be really soft and fuzzy… for a caterpillar. But even if you were tempted to pet it… don’t. Giant Stingray Our next contender in the nightmare creature feature is found in freshwater lakes and rivers in Indochina and Borneo. The giant stingray is exactly what it sounds like. This creature lives on the bottom of rivers and lakes and can tip fishing boats with its immense weight. Indian Taipan What nightmare creature list would be complete without a trip to Australia, the country with the possibly the most dangerous wildlife in the world. The Indian Taipan is a creature that will strike you with fear if you see it, and it lives in the semi-arid deserts of central Australia. Ophiocordyceps unilateralis Sometimes creatures look scary, but are harmless. Sometimes these terrifying animals can cause severe pain to humans, but this next entry is the base for some horror movies and intense natural study. The Ophiocordyceps fungus can be found in tropical rainforests and is known by many as the zombie fungus.

Check out the most expensive artifacts ever found! From mysterious ancient discoveries to valuable lost treasures, this top 10 list of ancient artifacts is amazing! Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Over time the denizens of our planet have helped make sure that those who are gone are not truly lost, and certain treasures are not lost either. Join us as we reveal some of the most priceless ancient artifacts ever found. 1. Pharaoh Sculpture Egypt is a land of much history, and many wonders that baffle people to this day (seriously, how did they make those pyramids?). And while there is another Egyptian treasure on this list, we thought it would be poetic to show off a mysterious treasure. Mainly, the sculpture of an Egyptian Pharaoh. 2. Rosetta Stone Sticking with Egypt, we go from the head of a pharaoh to a piece of rock that arguably changed how we looked at their culture. You see, the Rosetta Stone is famous because it allowed non-Egyptian people to read the hieroglyphs that were within the pyramids and temples in the land. You see, this stone had three different languages written on it. 3. Koh-i-Noor Diamond Diamonds are forever, right? Well...they’re also really, REALLY valuable, and for good reason. What’s more, the bigger the diamond, the more the value. 4. Egyptian Paint Ok, we know, paint doesn’t SOUND priceless, so why is it on this list? Well, as in many things, you don’t judge a book by its cover. This palette is thousands of years old, and yet, the paint that’s within the palette is still visible. 5. Imperial Regalia of the Holy Roman Empire There are certain items that are worth a lot separately, but when you have a complete set? That can make it priceless. Such is the Imperial Regalia of the Holy Roman Empire. 6. Priam’s Treasure Another collection of items, Priam’s Treasure holds a high honor because of its history both as an item, and its connection to World War II. And to this day, the legendary city of Troy has not been found. We’re just saying. 7. Ashikaga shogunate Armor Japan is a land that prides itself on its history, and with good reason. Long before they were a technological powerhouse, they were a land of samurai and emperors. 8. Ostrich Egg Map No, we’re not joking you. Someone literally took an ostrich egg and decided to carve a map of the world on it. Or, at least the world they knew existed. This egg was discovered in Florence, Italy, which has made many wonder who made it, and why they went to such lengths to craft it. 9. Lost and Destroyed Artifacts There’s always a dark side when it comes to trying to find artifacts. Mainly, some people don’t care about them, or attempts to preserve history are met with skepticism (see: The Monuments Men), and thus are considered low priority, or, in the worst cases, outright destroyed.

Metal detectors can change people’s life! Here are some metal detecting finds people found in various different locations. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Searching for things with metal detectors has been a hobby among amateurs and professionals alike since its development in the 1920s because there’s really no telling what you might find. The Boot of Cortez Even though deserts look barren, they might be rich in valuable metals such as one lucky metal detectorist discovered in 1989. Torc Finds If you’re looking for more inspiration, here’s another story of a guy that bought a random metal detector and hit the jackpot. One day, a 35-year-old man named Dave Booth bought a metal detector. Antique Gold Chalice Next time you head out to the beach, you might want to bring along a metal detector. In 2008, a man named Mike DeMar was searching for treasure along the coast of Key West when he struck gold. Anglo-Saxon Treasure You don’t necessarily have to head to the beach or spend hours in the scorching desert to find some great treasures. One man found everything he’d been looking for right in his own backyard. Hidden Cash Speaking of finding things in your backyard, that might not be the best spot to hide your stolen cash... Ringlemere Cup Sometimes, your hobbies make you rich...like Cliff Bradshaw. In 2001, Cliff, a retired electrician, had always loved archeology and metal detecting, so he decided to make a hobby out of it. One day, while he was scanning a field in East Kent, England, he found a crumpled up piece of metal. Roman Remains Sometimes when you’re digging up ancient artifacts, you’re bound to find the unexpected. Metal detectorists, Dave Derby and Alan Standish, were scanning a site that was known to yield valuable artifacts in Nether Heyford. Roman Coins What’s better than finding a skeleton from the Roman era? Finding their stash of cash, of course. In 2009, thirty-year-old newbie metal detectorist Nick Davies was on his first metal detecting adventure, looking for hidden gems in Shropshire, when his metal detector started beeping. Axe Head If you ever dabble with metal detecting, don’t be discouraged if you don’t find something within your first few tries. Finding something of value on your first excursion is almost unheard of, and fortunately for Steve Hickling, he never gave up. Antique Pendant Who says you have to be an adult….or even enrolled in kindergarten….to be able to find valuables with a metal detector? Four-year-old James Hyatt and his father were in a field located in Hockley hunting for treasure with their metal detector when they unearthed the find of a lifetime. It’s true that you’ll never know what’s below the surface of the Earth unless you look! Have you ever found anything valuable using a metal detector? Do you know of any other great metal detector finds that aren’t on our list?

Our world is home to some really dangerous places where tourists should not go and visit because not every destination is a tourist paradise. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Places You Never Want to Visit As Melisandre of Game of Thrones once said: "The night is dark and full of terrors", but as you watch this video we'll change that phrase to the world is dark and full of terrors. Sit back, relax and promise to never venture to any of these places you never want to visit because you might get more than you bargained for. North Sentinel Island: India The Northern Sentinel Island has remained almost completely remote from the outside world where it's believe the tribes of the Andaman Islands—the Jarawa, Great Andamanese, Onge and Sentinelese have lived for almost 55,000 years. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch You know that saying speak no evil, hear no evil and see no evil—well, that's not necessarily the case with the massive amount of trash that ends up in the ocean landing in what we now refer to as The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. It's likely that if you ever end up anywhere near this trash pile you may be shocked to discover that humans created a disgusting wasteland of filth in the middle of the ocean. Edinburgh Vaults: Scotland Edinburgh is a city rich in both history and superstition—which is why it was no wonder that when the newly completed South Bridge began to experience flooding in the chambers people believed it to be cursed, refusing to even use the bridge. Snake Island: Brazil Unless you're interested in the study of Ophiology, a branch of herpetology that specializes in the study of snakes and ophidians you probably never want to step foot on Snake Island. As the name suggests is full of deadly, venomous snakes and off-limits to humans—it was rumored that there are between one and five snakes for every meter. Overtoun Bridge: Milton, Scotland If you like your furry four-legged friend you probably want to steer clear of the Overtoun Bridge in the village of Milton, Scotland. This strange bridge hasn't caused humans to jump to their deaths but it's caused hundreds of man's best friend to leap off of it. It's become such a nuisance in fact that there is now a sign that reads: "Dangerous bridge—keep your dog on a lead." At least 50 dogs in the past 50 years have jumped from the bridge—strangely enough both jumping and landing in almost the same spot, always jumping off the same side of the bridge. Surtsey, Iceland Sursey Island off of the coast of Iceland was formed after a volcanic eruption took place from 1963 to 1967—and then a smaller island was also formed nearby just a few months but was washed away by wave erosion. Wave erosion still diminishes the larger island, but it won't entirely cause the island to disappear—if you're curious and want to visit the island though it's probably not recommended since you never know when the next eruption might take place.

Zoos also have the purpose of conserving certain species, trying to make sure they don't die out to extinction.. and in other cases they can be a sanctuary against poaching and hunters. Levan Merritt 1986 As encounters with great apes go, Harambe wasn't the first incident of a child falling into a gorilla enclosure. It happened at the Durrell Wildlife Park in Jersey, Channel Islands in the UK, when Five year old Levan Merrit somehow fell into the zoo's gorilla enclosure, falling far enough that he lost consciousness when he hit the ground. Beijing Zoo 2009 Pandas. They're endangered, and they're absolutely adorable. That cuteness draws in many crazy panda-fans for Gugu, a panda at the Beijing Zoo. People come from all over to see him, and more than a few have snuck into his enclosure. Pittsburgh zoo, 2012 For all of these stories, a surprising number don't end with someone being killed, considering they're usually just feet from dangerous and unpredictable predators. But fatalities unfortunately do still happen sometimes, as was the case for two year old Maddox Derkosh. Detroit Zoo, 1990 The Detroit zoo is a popular destination for many who wish to admire the wildlife of the world, and apparently also for those who like going where they shouldn’t be. This time though, the story has a happy ending, and the man had a good reason for jumping in. 33-year-old Rick Swope was enjoying his day at the Detroit zoo until he came across the chimpanzee exhibit. Berlin Zoo, 2009 The case of the Berlin zoo polar bear attack incident in 2009 is both mysterious and sketchy, and not much is known right down to the name of the woman involved in this incident on our list. Cleveland Metro parks Zoo, 2015 Once again, another case of a two-year-old boy being held on top of the protective railing and falling into an enclosure with several dangerous animals. Santiago Metropolitan zoo Suicide is never the answer. No matter what you might think, someone's going to be devastated by it, your community will be impacted, your loved ones will be at a loss without you and you'll be sorely missed by many. Little Rock Zoo, 2015 A young child went to the Little Rock zoo with his father and grandfather for some fun, and multi generational bonding time. Brookfield Zoo, 1996 Here we have a more feel-good story. A young child fell into the gorilla exhibit, and was set upon by a terrifying silverback female gorilla named Binti Jua. Toronto Zoo, 2016 A visitor to the Toronto Zoo must have really like her hat, because she jumped down from the observation deck and right next to a flimsy fence that had a tiger behind it, in order to retrieve it. Amidst people yelling at her, calling her a "moron", the woman leaped down and grabbed the hat while the tiger pounced on the fence separating them, desperately trying to get at her.

The amateur archaeologists in this video all made some amazing finds and discoveries. These lucky people found gold, artifacts and other expensive stuff burried under the ground... Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Just because you're not a professional with a degree, doesn't mean you can't find incredible things in the dirt. Sometimes, all you need is a metal detector and a lot of luck to find some of the most amazing archeological finds... Ancient ruins, coins, swords, even a World War Two bomber can all be found without any kind of proper training. Anybody can find priceless artifacts if they just look hard enough... Number X. Ballarat Nugget Gold is super valuable... at least that's what the late night infomercials say, anyway. As of writing, gold is sitting at about $39 per gram, which... yeah, that's pretty good. To put that into perspective, a gram of gold could put gas into your car, and buy you a pizza and rent a movie (if you stretched it). In other words, a gram of gold is a pretty decent night in. Number X. Roman Era artifacts Ran Feinstien and Ofer Raanan are two Israeli novice divers who were diving around the ancient port of Caesarea when they stumbled onto something crazy.... a wealth of ancient roman sculptures and artifacts. Number X. 3,000 year old Bronze-age sword For this next entry, let's head all the way to the Denmark... assuming you aren't already in Denmark, I guess. A pair of Danish friends, Ernst Christiansen and Lis Therkildsen, had brought a metal detector out for a walk out in a field, in the town of Svebolle. Number X. World War 2 Bomber found by Veterans Let me introduce you to Operation Nightingale. It's an archaeological project that lets veterans go out into the field and practice some basic archaeology at various sites. The project is used as a means to give injured veterans, or veterans struggling with psychological trauma a different kind of therapy, if they want it. That's where a group of veterans in the UK come into play. Number X. Mr. Rajaguru's Bizarre temple adventures An Indian schoolteacher walks into a forest... No, that wasn't a set-up for a joke or anything, an Indian schoolteacher, named Mr. Rajaguru was actually walking in a forest, when he found an ancient temple. That's a pretty productive hike, if I do say so myself... Number X. gold bracelets in Denmark Remember the "Apocalypse" list we did awhile back, and how we went on and on about vikings? Well that's because Vikings are cool... At least this writer thinks so, anyway. Back to the topic, though: A small team of amateur archaeologists discovered a huge cache of golden viking bracelets in Denmark. the bracelets were all found relatively close to each other... and that's a really big deal. Number X. Roman Emperor's needed slaves for their tunnels... or the other way around? Probably the other way around. Tivoli, Italy. The home of Roman Emperor Hadrian's Villa. It's a villa... with a giant system of underground tunnels! Honorable mentions: Janet Stephens, a professional hairdresser and sometimes amateur archaeologist, discovered an ancient roman hairstyle that had been lost to time. Which is super impressive and cool since it's literally a revival of history. Number X. Ithaca Ever read up on your greek? Ever hear of a little obscure book called... The Odyssey? That question was rhetorical, if you've seriously never heard of or read The Odyssey, go find your local library, if those even still exist.

Disney isn’t always the magical place that we make it up to be. Join us as we take a look at some tragic accidents, which happened at Disney locations. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Contrary to popular belief, Disney isn’t always the magical place we make it up to be. For some, it’s a sad reminder of a terrible event. Coming up….stories of people that died at Disney, including a little boy who was eaten by an alligator, a man who suffered a heart attack after a ride, and a Disney worker that was crushed by a parade float. Join us as we tell you about some of the most controversial deaths that took place at various Disney locations! First Disney Death The first disney death occurred in 1964….and this is why you leave your seat belt buckled and lap bar latched. Fifteen-year-old Mark Maples and his buddy decided to take a ride on the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Hungry, Hungry Gator The latest death at Disney occurred earlier this year and broke the hearts of people across the world. In case you didn’t know, Florida is crawling with alligators, and like most wildlife, they have no respect for boundaries even if you’re one of the largest tourist spots in the world. A family, including a two-year-old little boy named Lane Graves, was staying at a Walt Disney World hotel when their vacation turned into a nightmare. Karma’s a….well, you know This next story is why it’s always better to pay the posted admission price. In 1966, nineteen-year-old Thomas Guy Cleveland must not have agreed with the Disneyland ticket prices because he tried to sneak in by climbing a 16-foot fence and following the monorail tracks into the park. Don’t Drink and Drive If you’re not a Disney employee, you shouldn’t be operating any Disney-owned equipment...especially if you’re intoxicated. In June of 1983, 18-year-old Philip Straughan and his friend were celebrating their graduation and Philip’s birthday at Disney. Death by Dinosaur In 2005, a 30-year-old Indiana man with a pacemaker boarded the Animal Kingdom Dinosaur ride, but I bet he wished he had read the warnings that were posted before jumping in line. Daredevils You know that annoying voice on the PA system installed in rides reminding you to wait until the vehicle is fully stopped before attempting to exit the ride? You should probably listen to those, or you could end up like 17-year-old Ricky Lee Yama. Roller Coaster on the Loose Even if you’re not on the ride, you’re not immune to being injured, or even killed, by it. One day in 2003, one of the cars on the infamous Big Thunder Railroad completely derailed and flew off the train tracks and right into bystander Marcelo Torres. It’s a Small World After All This fan favorite has actually been the cause of multiple deaths. In 2010, a subcontracted cleaning professional was cleaning the boat when it somehow turned on. Keep Your Hands to Yourself I get that the ridiculously long lines, hot Florida sun, and eight-dollar bottles of water are enough to drive you crazy, but things should never get this out of hand. Pluto’s Accident Even if you’re a run-of-the-mill Disney employee just going about your day, things can still go horribly wrong. In 2004, 38-year-old Javier Cruz, who was hired to dress as the beloved Pluto, was getting ready for the daily parade in Frontierland. The Epcot Suicide Not all deaths as Disney locations are accidents….In 1992, a 37-year-old man found his way into the Epcot Center after it had closed for the day and flashed his gun at three security guards. He demanded to see his ex-girlfriend, who happened to be an Epcot employee. This list of Disney deaths just proves that no matter who you are, whether you’re a guest, regular employee, or contracted helper, you’re not protected from tragedy even inside the walls of the happiest place on earth.

Students in Ohio Living away from home for the first time as a student can be a marvelous experience, and the house that you and your friends find will certainly live in your memories. Reddit It’s important, when you get a new house, to explore all the nooks and crannies Peepholes A thorough inspection of a potential house might save you a lot of trouble… especially if you find something creepy. Message Not all of these hidden finds are evil and ominous. A couple that recently purchased a home in 2005 went on to do renovations and found a secret passageway behind a bookcase. Armed room It’s possible that your house’s previous owner left you treasures and gifts behind, and it’s also possible that they aren’t the presents you want to find. Student Basement Again, as a student it can be hard to find the perfect place, but you can probably do better than a place that can be labeled “creepily occupied”. Religious Sometimes, if you discover something creepy or odd in your house, there’s no rush to investigate. Houseguest A home is where you go to feel safe from the outside world, but sometimes the things you fear literally live in your walls. Attic Not all of the odd, secret rooms we found are in America. A family in Norway discovered a secret loft that might well be of historical significance… even if it is a little creepy. Screaming Every house makes weird noises at night, from odd creaking, to a water drip… but sometimes it goes too far. Floor Finding extra room in your apartment can be a godsend in a busy city… but finding an extra room can be terrifying. HONORABLE MENTION Hidden rooms in houses can often be seen as horrible and creepy, but this honorable mention section is about these same secret passages in historic buildings and castles, which are much more acceptable. Mt Ste Odile The monastery of Mount Sainte-Odile is located high in France’s Vosges Mountains, and is home to numerous priceless medieval books and manuscripts. Singer Castle If the New York Times dubs a place “The Castle of Mysteries”, it’s probably got some whacky secrets. Dunnerden If you spend enough time engineering imaginary secrets, your real life might well involve them. Dunnerden is the name of a home in Aspen, built by the software developer Doug Carlston. This concludes our list of hidden places people discovered in their own homes. Which secret, creepy room was your favorite? What spooky hideaways did we miss? Let us know in the comments below.

Sometimes ships sink because of various reasons but these mysterious abandoned ships disappear without an explanation. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Most Mysterious Abandoned ships The ocean is a very large and fairly unknown part of our planet, and odd tales come from sailors about crewless boats. Coming upDisappearing crews, ghost ships, and more. Join us as we explore the most mysterious abandoned ships! World Discoverer When you set out to explore a place shrouded in myth and legend, the journey might not treat your boat so well. The aptly named World Discoverer was a giant cruise ship that first left port in 1974, and was the first ship ever to cross the Northwest Passage successfully, doing what the fabled Titanic could not. High Aim Six When a ship washes up on shore with a full cache of supplies but no crew, it’s probably going to get people talking. The High Aim Six was found eighty miles from the Rowley Shoals, near Australia, floating adrift, full of food, water, and gas… but with no one on board. Teignmouth Electron Traveling around the entire world by boat is an… ambitious goal, and doing it solo might well be described as crazy. This didn’t stop the Golden Globe Race, a British sailing competition with that goal in mind. Mary Celeste When it comes to mysteries, sometimes it’s best to trust the classics. The Mary Celeste is probably the world’s most famous abandoned ship, and its strangeness has lasted the test of time. It was found adrift in the Atlantic in 1872, and all that was missing was a lifeboat. Jian Seng It doesn’t have to be an old-timey two masted ship to be considered spooky and well, haunted. The Jian Seng was just your run of the mill oil tanker found abandoned off the coast of Australia in 2006. T.T. Zion If you want to own a personal yacht, the odds are pretty good that you’ll have to be, well, rich. But wealth doesn’t mean you won’t end up as an integral part of a mystery. The American Star Sometimes the wreck of the ship can be as magnificent as the seaworthy version. The SS America Star was built in 1940 as a beautiful, gigantic ocean liner. This ship carried several names in her lengthy career of fifty four years. SS Valencia If your ship decides to kick the bucket in it’s pretty likely it’ll end up as a mystery. The SS Valencia was an iron-hulled steamer built in 1882. Kaz II When it comes to misadventures, sometimes what happens at sea, stays at sea. The Kaz II was catamaran crewed by three men on a pleasure voyage. When it was discovered near the Great Barrier Reef, alas, there was no one aboard. Ourang Medan If the mystery is too terrifying, the best answer might be just to let it, well, blow up and sink. The Ourang Medan was a Dutch merchant ship that was floating through the Strait of Malacca in June of 1947. This wraps up our list of the most mysterious abandoned ships. What haunting sea story did you like most? What eerie shipwrecks did we miss? Let us know in the comments below.

Join us as we talk about some extinct animals you never knew were real. 1. Megalodon Ok, we’ll admit, you probably did know about this one, but not for the reasons of it actually being real. 2. Gigantopithecus From Jaws to Planet of the Apes, it’s honestly not too much of a surprise that there was an ape that grew to massive sizes. But what sets the Gigantopithecus apart was just how big it could get. 3. Giant Swan Ok, so we’ve had the giant sea creature, we’ve had the giant land creature, where’s my giant bird? And no, we don’t mean Pterodactyls or other dinosaurs, we meant a literal bird that isn’t around anymore. 4. Irish Elk Any hunters out there? It’s ok if you’re are, we’re not judging you, we’re using it as a point of reference. 5. Elasmotherium From giant antlers to giant horns, it’s not hard to imagine certain creatures on Earth right now being descended from the Elasmotherium. 6. Great Auk They say that history is written by the victors, and if Penguins are victors, then the Great Auk is the loser. 7. Laughing Owl From the ironic, to the creepy, let’s talk about the laughing owl. Now, technically, there are species of laughing owl still out there today. The one we’re talking about was one native to New Zealand. Species name Sceloglaux albifacies. 8. Falkland Islands Wolf I’m not going to lie, I love wolves. I love just about everything about them. So when I came across the sad tale of the Falkland Islands Wolf, I knew I had to put it on the list. 9. Bluebuck Speaking of hunting to extinction, let’s talk about the Bluebuck. This creature might be self-explanatory, but it’s still a really cool creature to think about. The Bluebuck’s were native to Southern Africa for some time. 10. Barabary Lions Many creatures on this list are considered ancestors of certain other creatures on our Earth, or “tales to astonish” in many ways. Yet, one very sad tale of extinction is very recent, and it is entirely the fault of humanity for this creatures extinction. We speak of course of the Barbary Lion.

Ghost ships and phantom ships have been getting sighted for hundreds of years and even to this day ghost and phantom ships get spotted quiet often! Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list As if the oceans were not scary enough by themselves now you have to worry about phantom ships roaming the waters. In the history of nautical travel captains around the world have noted seeing ships that they believed to be destroyed sailing across the ocean as if nothing had happened at all. Other crews have said that they have personally sunken a ship and then the next day watched it emerge from the fog and sail by them. Here we will look at a few ghosts ships that will make you think that Captain Jack & the Black Pearl are a little more than an exhausted Disney franchise. The SS Valencia This is a story that seems to be ripped directly from Pirates of the Caribbean. The SS Valencia was an American steamship that met its fate on January 20th, 1906 off the coast of Pachena Bay. The ship left with 157 passengers headed towards Vancouver Island. The ship made its voyage safely but it was its return trip that brought tragedy. The SS Baychimo The SS Baychino is the terminator of ghost ships. The steamship was built-in 1914 and was used as a cargo ship by the Hudson Bay Company. The ship was mostly used to transport goods such as tobacco, sugar down the Canadian coast. They also transported an inordinate amount of guns that we are sure the Canadians have no use for. But all those guns and ferried furs could not save the SS Baychimo from the icy fate that it met in 1931. Jenny The Jenny is one of the most infamous tales of a ghost ship. It first set sail in 1823 but was not seen again until 1840 trapped in the South Pole snow. A whaling ship had come across the boat and decided to board it as it seemed out-of-place. When they entered the ship they noticed that there seemed to be no one aboard. The ship had fallen into disrepair but much of the furniture and table settings were perfectly in place. Upon further investigation, the whalers found a truly horrifying sight when they entered the hull of the ship. The entire crew of the ship along with a woman and young boy were found dead. High Aim 6 One of the strangest modern-day ghost ships comes from Taiwan and was named the High Aim 6. The ship left the Southern Port of Taiwan in October on its way to an unknown destination. The ship's captain was last heard from in December when sending out a distress simply screaming about murder. The concerned coast guard sent out ships to search for the High Aim 6 but failed to find the ship. Honorable Mention The Mary Celeste The story of the Mary Celeste is surrounded by the most mysterious of circumstances. To this day there is no definitive explanation as to what happened to the captain and crew. The crew set sail in November of 1872 on its way to Italy. It should have taken just a short time for the ship to arrive in the harbor but after 8 days the shipping company became suspicious. They sent out a rescue party to search for the ship and that is exactly what they found, only they didn't find the crew, they had completely disappeared. Ourang Medan The accounts of this tale could be the basis for a horror story. The Ourang Medan was a Dutch Cargo ship active in the 1940s. The ship was sailing off the coast of Malaysia when it sent out a distress signal reading " "S.O.S. from Ourang Medan * * * we float. All officers including the Captain, dead in chartroom and on the bridge. Probably whole of crew dead * * *." A few moments later the final message read "I die". 2 American ships received the message and the Silver Star decided it would make the rescue attempt. Upon arriving at the ship the crew was surprised that the Ourang Medan was almost perfectly intact. These have been just a few of our favorite ghost ships that haunt the high seas. Let us know some of your favorite ghost ship stories.

The field of archeology is defined by oxford as "The study of human history and prehistory through the excavation of sites and the analysis of artifacts and other physical remains". 1:The Grauballe Man We start our journey with death, and a body that has travelled over 2000 years in a Denmark bog to join us. One of the most well preserved bodies of it's era the 'Grauballe Man" has been dated back to the Germanic Iron Age-a time when the Roman Empire had just fallen and gold flowed freely through Scandinavia. 2: Pompeii In the year 79 A.D., a volcano in Italy erupted and forever enshrined it's place in a tragic history. Though today a popular tourist location at the time it was a bustling Roman city, that was reminded of the true power of nature in one of the most catastrophic volcanic eruptions in human history. 3: Tutankhamun's Tomb Over 3000 years ago, Egypt stood as a pillar of power within the old world and none were as powerful as Pharaoh-the God Kings of the land. Egypt being known for the complete union of religion and state, Pharaoh was head of both and their word was law. 4: Rosetta Stone The legend of the Tower of Babel tells of an angry God who upset with the pride of man scattered the people of the world and made them speak in different tongues so that none would understand each other. 5: Terracotta Army Imagine an army made up of 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots and 670 horses in one location. Now imagine that the army is entirely made of clay. That is the vision awaiting those who visit the famous Terracotta Army of China. 6: Dead Sea Scrolls The famous Dead Sea Scrolls capture the curiosity of many, and this spot on our list for their intense significance in both historical and religious contexts. One of the oldest known works of the Hebrew Bible, the Dead Sea scrolls (themselves just a part of the Qumran Cave Scrolls) are a group of 981 works of writing, estimated to be from between third century B.C.E. to the first century of the common era. 7: Easter Island (Moai) As one of the most remote places on Earth, Easter Island is home to not only an interesting history but a subject of great interest for many in the famous Moai-huge stone statues that surround the small island. 8: Cave of Altamira For our final entry we step the furthest back in time to one of the earliest known art pieces created by human hands. At between 18,500 and 14,000 years ago, the world was an entirely different place.

Oscars Award shows wouldn’t be all that entertaining if the results were known beforehand, and the bigger the award, the bigger the surprise. KFC When two customers stopped in at a gas station restaurant in North Corbin, Kentucky, the 1930s, they didn’t realize just how unlikely it was that they’d figure out how their chicken meal was seasoned. A secret list passed down to powerful company positions is also the strategy for maintaining the formula for Coca Cola. Much like KFC, the ingredient list and proportions for the stunning tonic is held only by the two CEOs at Coke. Google How many times have you Googled something, and actually gone to the second page of the results? Chartreuse While the recipes above have been kept secret for decades, there are other, more… “meaningful” recipes that have been hidden away for centuries. Chartreuse is a French liqueur first made by the monks of the Grande Chartreuse Monastery in 1737. Annabelle You may have heard of the Annabelle doll in recent years because of the horror movie series The Conjuring or the eponymous film that came soon after. The Annabelle doll is said to be possessed by the ghost of a girl named Annabelle Higgins. The Myrtle Plantation Mirror This is a mirror that not even Justin Timberlake would be happy to look in to. On the Myrtle Plantation in southeastern Louisiana there exists a mirror that many believe to be one of the most haunted objects in the world. The Dibbuk Box Happy Hannukah ladies and gentiles, here is a cabinet you won’t want to store your most kosher of wines. Robert is the 20th century doll that inspired those terrible Chucky movies. The origins of the doll have been traced back to a turn of the century painter named Robert Eugene Otto. Otto reportedly received the doll from a Bahamian servant who apparently was accused of practicing black magic. James Dean’s Car American bad boy James Dean was one of the most famous movie stars of the 1950’s. His untimely death at the age of 24 shook the nation. Google earth has been responsible for some pretty weird finds. Odd shaped buildings, crime scenes and other strange finds. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Did you know that a crook took advantage of Google Earth to steal valuable material from rooftops and later resold it? Since 2001, Google Earth was one of the most fascinating ways of discovering what life is like on the other side of the world without ever having to leave your own room. Ready? Let’s begin. Intentionally designed to look like a beautiful oak tree, Google Earth users found a shocking discovery when they realized what this Dixon based church actually looks like from above. Have you guessed it yet? Needless to say, the church has been a victim of many puns - as one might expect. After all, IT LOOKS LIKE A PENIS. Okay the next one is surprisingly touching, but will still make you go ‘wtf’ when you see it for the first time and ‘awww’ after you hear the reason why this exists. Argentina’s ‘Pampas’ gained a guitar shaped forest made out of 7,000 cypress and blue eucalyptus trees. Pedro Martin Ureta is the man who is responsible for this forest. We can safely say that the farm stood absolutely no chance. Well done, Pedro Ureta, well done. Ok, want something that’ll creep you out? Imagine accidentally stumbling upon a Google Earth image showing the police standing over your teenage son’s dead body. Sounds pretty creepy, right? And before you say no way, this actually really happened. In 2013, Kevin Barrera’s father randomly found the aerial shot of police standing around his dead son’s body close to the train tracks. This was by far one of the biggest Google Earth mishaps, however, there were also times when people reported a murder than never actually happened. Have you heard of the mysterios case of a dragged body on the bridge? That’s right - they were the footprints of a gigantic hound! And then there’s the giant rabbit that can be seen from space. Wait, wait, wait, wait, what? If you’re planning on visiting, do it in the next 9 years - it is planned to stay there until 2025. Here’s a quote from one of the creators:'We like to see hikers climb up the bunny's 20ft sides and relax on his belly.' You’ve heard of the mysterious Atlantis before, right? When Google Earth launched a pretty detailed oceanic version, the odd sighting of a grid map in the middle of the ocean sparked quite a controversy. In 2009, the overlapping datasets made it seem like Google accidentally found Atlantis and the Internet went absolutely insane. Before you dig into this a little bit deeper, we should warn you that the image was removed in 2012 in order to stop misinforming the users. Google reported that Atlantis has yet to be found and explained that it was all just an unfortunate data miscommunication. Hmmmm, is this really true or is Google trying to hide something? That’s not even the end of bizarre encounters with Google Earth oceans. In 2016, the Internet went once again crazy as they discovered a sea monster close to the Deception Island - no, really, it’s called Deception Island. No one quite knows the real reason behind this image and whether it was just a set up or a coincidental thing, these pigeonheads will give you the creeps like nothing else. A Reddit user spotted 7 people with pigeon masks, creepily staring into the Google camera. ' Speaking of creepy, next on our list are dolls of dead people, randomly placed along the main road. But who makes these dolls? A lady called Tsukimi, who got the idea after she created a scarecrow in the memory of her father. If that didn’t take a weird turn and make you go aww, we’re not sure what else will. Moving onto something even more mind boggling is the discovery of a huge swastika in colorado… and its one government ground. So what’s this Google Maps crime talk, you ask? There were numerous times when Google was a witness to some pretty horrible stuff, but here are just some you’ve probably never heard of before. A man on a porch pointed his gun at the Google Maps driver in Detroit. Although the gun is now blurred from the maps, the story behind it remains. In the Netherlands, two men stole a 14 year old boy’s bike, phone and wallet. The thieves were twin brothers, later recognized by the police and sent to jail. Justice has been served, thanks to Google Maps. The next person didn’t have such luck. In 2014, a woman spotted two men that were responsible for robbing her house and holding her at gunpoint 3 years earlier. What? How is that even possible? It turns out she was just randomly looking through her neighborhood. The men haven’t been caught yet but it’s safe to say this might’ve brought some unpleasant memories to the woman.

Scientists discovered a lot of incredible new species, which are creatures we have never heard of. Here are some of the new discovered species. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list New Species Discoveries It's pretty mind-boggling to us that no matter how far we come in Science there will always be something new and extraordinary to discover. Clarias batrachus Otherwise known as the Walking Catfish, this bizarre and interesting species of freshwater airbreathing catfish was discovered to be a native to Southeast Asia. Murina beelzebub This one has quite the interesting name also referred to as either the Demon Bat or the Beelzebub's tube-nosed bat it can be found in the Greater Mekong region of Southeast Asia. Potamotrygon rex Probably one of the most stylish of all the new species is this big guy that has earned the title of "king" with his impressive size and pattern. Inia araguaiaensis Probably the most adorable looking new species to hit our list is the pink dolphin. The pink dolphin is part of the river dolphins and are considered to be among the rarest and most endangered types of dolphins in the world. Eriovixia gryffindori Only a team of arachnologists could come up with a name as clever as Godric Gryffindor to name their newly found spider species. Eulophophyllum kirk If you're a fan of pink than you might enjoy the newest pink ladies to hit the list which consist of a species of katydid whose females come in rosy tones. Pheidole Drogon We're not going to lie but when we first saw this name we were confused thinking that it was named the pedophile dragon, and as much as we would hate to see something like that out in nature what it actually is extremely terrifying. Gracilimus radix We're not going to lie we weren't very excited when we discovered there was yet another rat species discovered. Xenoturbella churro Everybody loves a delicious churro with its crisp taste and cinnamon sugar coating but what we don't love is the fact that this new species is actually nicknamed the deep-sea sock. Drosera magnifica You may have thought Facebook was only good for learning useless facts and finding memes that no one but your grandma enjoyed seeing, but it turns out there might be more to it than we originally thought. Sartidia isoalensis The world is really a strange and fascinating place especially since we may have thought we discovered every blade of grass and it turns out we were wrong, very, very wrong. Hyanlinobatrachium dianae If you grew up watching the Muppets this frog might look awfully familiar—are we sure this shouldn't have a name change to Kermit the frog?

A lot of conspiracy theories claim that NASA is hiding some important facts about their agency. Like almost everyone NASA does also have some hidden secrets. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Conspiracy theorists have for years been questioning if NASA is hiding things from citizens—although they have the best Public Relations teams to debunk most theories there are quite a few mysteries that have slipped through the cracks. We'll take a look at some of those dark NASA secrets that didn't quite get swept under the rug. If you enjoy the dark and twisted world that we're about to uncover, subscribe to us for even more interesting and informative videos! The Apollo 11 Missing Tapes Everyone that has learned anything about space knows about the Apollo 11 mission where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first two humans to land on the moon. It took place on July 20, 1969 and had people everywhere rejoicing with glee because the Americans had just narrowly beat Russia and other countries from achieving what at the time seemed entirely impossible. Apollo Astronauts Denied Insurance As is expected with any astronaut about to embark on the most dangerous mission known to man—life insurance wasn't going to be cheap. All of the astronauts also had a family to think about after their mission to the moon and there was no guarantee that they would make it back alive. The Apollo 11 astronauts had a pretty ingenious plan up their sleeve though to get by without life insurance—signing autographs. By the time, the mission was announced the crew was already famous, and they knew that autographs would be worth a hefty sum. NASA Removes UFOs from Photos It's an age-old conspiracy that NASA has mysterious files and photos on Unidentified Flying Objects and extraterrestrial life—now, we're no experts but there are so many interviews with former NASA employees floating around that we may start to believe the impossible. James Webb Space Telescope The Hubble Space Telescope now has a predecessor called the James Webb Space Telescope, the new version took nearly 20 years to complete, billions of dollars and a fierce political battle to complete the project. It has people wondering if it was worth it, and if it was then why did a large part of the telescope's project plans get hidden from public knowledge until now? Astronauts Internal Struggle Being an astronaut is not an easy job—if you want to enter into this lucrative career expect some fierce competition. It's estimated that you'll have a .08 percent chance of selection during the grueling process. Even though our parents like to tell us that we can be whatever we want to be when we grow up; they probably should have warned us that an astronaut might not be in our foreseeable future. We're more likely to get to be the first humans to live on Mars than to be chosen as an astronaut for space exploration. NASA Is Still a Boys Club With the release of the movie Hidden Figures it was widely recognized that NASA is and was a career that mostly men only chose to pursue. Hidden Figures tells the story of three African-American women that were known as the human "computers" behind the successful space missions of Neil Armstrong, Alan Shepard and John Glenn to travel safely to space. Whale Oil Powered Hubble Space Telescope NASA has attempted to quiet the rumors that the Hubble Space Telescope required whale oil to be powered—it wouldn't be such a far-fetched claim since the oil can withstand below freezing temperatures and could tolerate the harsh conditions of space better than anything that would have been produced in the years when the satellite was first conceptualized. NASA Involvement in Operation Paperclip After World War II, the world was a bit of a murky place as many Nazis had slipped through the cracks of justice. It was no different in the scientific community as they could easily blend in anywhere and change their name but with the CIA's covert operation called "Operation Paperclip" 1,600 German became part of our US space, military and technology program with these scientists. Stolen Moon Rocks This secret moon rock heist was a bit strange but sometimes people will do anything to make a little extra cash on the side. Three interns at the space station decided it would be a brilliant idea to steal the moon rocks from the Apollo mission that had been stored away for years in a safe in the Johnson Space Center. Are there any secrets that you think should have been worthy of this list? If so, comment and tell us about them in the comments below! If these dark NASA secrets blew your mind just wait and see what kinds of other universes you'll discover by subscribing to our channel! Have we found enough proof to conclude that giants were once among us? There is plenty of mysterious and unexplained evidence that might prove the existence of giants. Join us as we look at a few discoveries that might proof that giants existed. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Lord of The Rings is a nice read on its own it might enhance your experience to know that some aspects of the books might be more a little more fact than fiction. The Giants Of Ecuador In 2013 after heavy storms in Ecuador and Peru, a large female skull was found in the Loja province. The skull was dated by scientists and determined to be approximately 600 years old. The discovery of the skull sparked interest in finding the rest of the remains. Kentucky Dover Mound Since the late 19th century there have been many alleged discoveries of skeletal remains from so called giants. Many have been debunked but that still left more than enough separate discoveries to bring about suspicion of their existence. One of the stranger finds took place in Kentucky at the Dover Mound. The Dover Mound is a large Native American burial ground where some of the most strange physical and genetic anomalies have been discovered. One of these anomalies was the skeleton of a 7-foot male Adena man. The Lovelock Cave You would think by having Area 51 within your state lines you might just have your fill of the weird but that doesn't seem to be the case for Nevada. 20 miles south of Lovelock, Nevada there are caves that have been caught the eye of the world for over 100 years. The first strange reports from the area came in 1882 from a Native American tribe called the Paiute. The New York Giants While the giants we are going to be talking about have no relation to the Eli Manning and his band of Cro-magnon the coincidence is entertaining. In 1871 in the town of Cayuga the local newspaper reported on an archaeological dig that was taking place at the local Native American burial grounds. The dig gained media attention when visitors claimed that they saw giant skeletons being raised from the ground by the archaeologists. The Giants Of The Caucasus Mountains The generally uninteresting Caucas mountains have gained attention in recent years because of the alleged cave of giants found in 2008. The interest began in 2008 when a Georgian researcher by the name of Professor Vekua began researching the area. Vekua was a respected paleontologist best known for his work with the Homo Erectus Georgicus at the Dmanisi archaeological site. Giant Footprints One of the most cliché and but possibly best forms evidence that suggests the existence of giants are large footprints. There have been so many giant footprints that have been found over the centuries that it has been suggested that giants once walked the earth in large numbers. One of the most famous giant footprints was found outside of Mpuluzi, South Africa. It was found over 100 years ago by hunter a hunter named Stoffel Coetzee. Locals named it the Footprint of God. The print has been a point of interest to many religious groups who believe that the print belongs to Goliath. The print measure 1.2 meters long. Around the world, there have been similar footprints that have been found embedded in age-old rocks. In San José, a 2.5-meter footprint was found near a local ranch. In the same city, another 1.5-meter footprint was found on a cliff. Foreign explorers found a footprint twice the size of an average human's foot near a remote Chinese village. While these footprints are not proof that giants exist it does pose a challenging thought about how so many of these human-like impressions have been found around the world. These have been a just a few discoveries from around the world that suggest that giants once walked among us. While we may never be able to definitively prove the existence of giants until we catch one history has given us plenty of reason to believe that lived and still may live on this earth.

The relationship between the USA and Russia is pretty unstable at the moment. Trump and Putin are dancing around one another and unfortunately, now might be a good time to take a look at some of the most dangerous and deadliest Russian weapons... Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Did you know that Russia is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of military equipment in the world? With a manpower of over 70 million and more than 700,000 active military personnel, Russia is an extremely powerful country. 10. PANTSYR S1 Sure, the name won’t make you go ‘ooh, this is a true badass weapon’ but the specs will. Classified as a Self propelled anti aircraft gun missile, this powerful gun system features 12 missiles, 4 guns and a maximum road speed of 56 miles per hour. 9. Krasukha and Richag electronic warfare system Russia’s military, along with plenty of other technologically advanced armies, is equipped with several systems that are capable shutting down the enemy’s electronics which can come quite in handy during combat. 8. Admiral Gorshkov class frigate Russia isn’t known for having any advanced warships since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. But since then, Russia’s economy has increased and from the looks of it, they were able to afford a pretty capable warship called The Admiral Gorshkov. 7. Armata Combat Vehicle Family Yep, it’s an entire family of vehicles designed for combat. From the T-14 Main Battle Tank to T-15 Heavy Infantry Fighting Vehicle, Russia is definitely armed and ready. These vehicles were put in place to replace more than one thousand of low tech tanks and other weaponry. 6. Kirov Class Battlecruiser Without even explaining anything about this weapon, battlecruiser already sounds powerful enough, doesn’t it? What if I tell you these cruisers are the largest surface combatants in service at present? 5. Onyx anti ship cruise missile Simply called The Onyx, this missile is one of the most important weapons in the Russian military. It can be widely deployed from ships, submarines, aircraft and sometimes even trucks which makes it an overall powerful weapon. 4. The SU-30 Fighter Family Man, when it comes to Russian military, they don’t invent just one deadly weapon - they create an entire family of them and each is designed for a specific purpose. The SU 30 series, also known as Sukhoi, are an extremely popular series of fighter aircrafts. 3. Blackjack and Backfire - Russia’s long range strategic bombers Alright, we’re moving away from the 32-knot warships - let’s talk about Russian weapons that can cause the most amount of damage. 2. Yasen class ssn / ssgn Sure, they’re submarines, but don’t be fooled. These won’t really make you sing “we all live in a yellow submarine” because they’re designed to attack and destroy. 1. And then there’s the S 400 air defense system If there’s one thing we learned from this is that Russia really means business when it comes to war. S400 is an upgrade from the old S300 air defense system.

Who doesn’t dream about being a billionaire, being wealthy and being one of the youngest richest people on earth. But not for everyone this dream will come true. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list As soon as we learn the value of money we dream of being billionaires. For most people that dream never comes true and the few that do become billionaires achieve their wealth late in their life. But there are some billionaires out there who amassed a considerable fortune at a very young age. Here we will explore some of the youngest billionaires ever. For the sake of practicality we are going to leave out the trillionaire emperors, sultans, and kings of the old world and stick to the modern billionaires. Mark Zuckerberg Facebook- the world's largest social networking site. You probably have one of your own that you use to stalk your high school friends or that person you saw on tinder that didn’t match with you. With over 2 billion active users on Facebook in 2016 it's likely that you have one yourself. Your life might even revolve around checking your notifications or posting needless pictures of the pretentious food you are eating. Dustin Moskovitz Much like Buzz Aldrin, Dustin Moskovitz is the name that is often forgotten when mentioning their respective groundbreaking achievements. Moskovitz cofounded Facebook with Zuckerberg in 2004. Zuckerberg famously created Facebook “for fun” with a little bit of help from his friends. Once Moskovitz saw the full potential of Facebook he suggested that Zuckerberg take time off of school to pursue the project full time. Tom Persson Now its time to look at one of Europe's youngest billionaires. The heir to the H&M fortune. You have probably heard of the brand and you might even own a piece of their clothing. H&M was founded by Erling Persson in 1947 and has since become the second largest clothing retailer in the world. Old Erling died in 2002 and left his clothing empire to his son Stefan Persson but that isn’t who we are here to talk about. Evan Spiegel Here is a self made billionaire sure to make anyone born before 1990 feel like they have been wasting their lives. You old geriatrics might have seen some of these young kids taking pictures of themselves and all of sudden their face turns into a dog or a halo of flowers appears around their head. This isn’t witchcraft it’s Snapchat. Snapchat is an image messaging application created by Stanford students Evan Spiegel, Reggie Brown and Bobby Murphy. The trio began working on the application while studying computer science at Stanford. Snapchat built onto a previous application created by Murphy called Picaboo. It too offered a feature where you could send disappearing pictures to users within your network. Elizabeth Holmes Not often do you hear about female billionaires so let's start by introducing you to the youngest self-made female billionaire ever. Elizabeth Holmes was a bright young student with a passion for foreign language and a desire to help mankind. After practicing Mandarin for 3 years and starting her first teach business in high school she decided to attend Stanford University to study Chemical Engineering. After her freshman year she began working in a SARS laboratory at the Genome Institute of Singapore. Hugh Grosvenor This baby faced billionaire will make you wish you were British royalty. In August of 2016 baby Hugh became the 7th Duke of Westminster upon the death of his father Gerald Grosvenor. The family’s deeply rooted ties into the British government have allowed for them to amass an enormous fortune over the past 2 centuries. Alexandra Andresen Here we have the youngest female billionaire in the world, Alexandra Andresen. On top of that she is also the youngest billionaire in the world. Alexandra and her sister Katharina are the heiresses to the Ferd company fortune. Ferd (Journey in English) is the largest privately owned company in Norway. With less than 2000 billionaires in the world it is unlikely that you will ever become one.But who knows, maybe you have the next Snapchat or Facebook in your back pocket but you just haven’t executed your plan yet. From tech geniuses to lucky bloodlines these have been some of the youngest billionaires around the world. I know earlier we said we weren’t going to mention the richest people of the old world but it’s just nice to know how these modern billionaires pale in comparison. The Mughal Emperor Akbar I took the throne at the age of 14 and his estimated net worth was 21 trillion dollars. If Akbar I himself was a country today he would have the highest GDP in the world. Let us know some of your favorite young billionaires in the comments below. But we think it might be hard to top that one.

Area 51 has always been surrounded my mystery and by secrets. What is the government hiding at area 51? Aliens, UFO's, secret documents?! Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Mysterious locations, forbidden signs, a base set in the middle of nowhere censored on Google Earth and tons of signs pointing to the possibility of an extraterrestrial life. Area 51 has been a subject of discussion for years and many have attempted to find out the secrets that lie behind the closed base doors. The name behind Area 51 The name ‘Area 51’ derives from its marking on 1950’s Nevada Test Site maps. That’s really all there is to it. Nothing special, right? Well, these four letters and two digits have managed to shake up even those who don’t easliy give into conspiracy theories. The consequences of crossing the Area 51 borders By crossing the restricted borders of Area 51, people can get punished in various ways, but one of the most common fines is a fee of around 600 dollars on average, depending on your intentions. Area 51 was the A12 Oxcart testing site One of the things we do know about Area 51 is that it was chosen as the testing site for the A-12 oxcart. In simplified english, the A-12 Oxcart is the world’s first titanium spy plane that flew at 2200 miles per hour, which meant that the plane could cross the continental US in just 70 minutes. One of the now well known secrets of Area 51 is its artillery and bombing place known as the Groom Lake - the dry lake the area was built around. After the World War II, the area became abandoned for a decade and then used as a testing facility for the spy plane. Among others, the site was also used for the F-117 program which tested the F117 planes, managed by the first class of frontline pilots. Alright, alright, let’s get to the good stuff. It’s time to talk aliens It’s no secret that probably everyone who’s ever heard of Area 51 associates it with extraterrestrial life. From the Extraterrestrial Highway to the alien themed hotel and testimonials by many ex employees. Ex Area 51 employees and their testimonies It’s debatable whether the activities of Area 51 are really off limits. Over the years, many former employees came forward and shared their stories on what’s actually happening in Area 51. Dr Boyd Bushman, an ex Area 51 scientist claims that aliens are real and friendly and that there is a group that works with aliens for 24 hours a day. The White House’s response to Area 51 conspiracy In 2011, The White House was forced to release a response to the two petitions signed by the public that demanded the acknowledgement that aliens have visited Earth, and urged to disclose any withholding of government interactions with extraterrestrial beings. This was their official response.

Airports are becoming one of the most dangerous places to be despite the increase of security. Here we take a look at some of the most dangerous airports around the globe. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list If you’ve been paying attention to the news, airports are becoming one of the more dangerous places to be despite the increase in security. We’ve compiled a list of some super dangerous airports, but it isn’t terrorists you need to be afraid of. Lukla Airport If you’re planning a visit to Mt. Everest, there’s a good chance you’ll be flying into the Lukla Airport, and after hearing this, you might just change your plans. Paro Airport Not to overshadow the Lukla Airport, but the Paro Airport in Bhutan is even more dangerous. That’s because this airport is smack dab in the middle of the Himalayan Mountains, and pilots need a special license to even land on its runway. Courchevel International Airport If you’re traveling to France, you may not want to book your flight out of this airport. That’s because its runway is just shy of 830 feet long. It also has a downward gradient, making takeoff even more difficult even for experienced pilots. Gibraltar International Airport Unlike the previous few airport, there are no mountains and there’s plenty of space to land at the Gibraltar International Airport. However, there is one thing that makes landing here a bit terrifying. Gisborne Airport While cars are waiting for planes to pass near the Gibraltar International Airport, planes are waiting for trains to pass near the Gisborne Airport. Located in New Zealand, the Gisborne Airport hosts over 60 domestic flights that services 150,000 passengers every year... Narsarsuaq Airport Located in Greenland, the Narsarsuaq Airport is considered one of the most difficult airports to land in. That’s because it has some of the shortest runways in the world and what little space pilots do have is covered in slick ice. Barra Airport The air traffic controllers at Barra Airport are determined to get you on the beach as soon as you land in Traigh Mhòr, Scotland. That’s because their runway is entirely made up of sand. It’s actually the only airport in the world that uses a beach as their runway. Madeira International Airport This airport, located on the Portuguese island of Madeira, has quite the track record for being a dangerous place to travel. It was initially built with a short runway that measured just a little over 52 hundred feet. Congonhas Airport If you thought flying around in the mountains was scary, imagine flying around a city. The Congonhas Airport, also known as the Sao Paulo Airport, is located in downtown Brazil….and we literally mean downtown….it’s only five miles from the center of the city Honorable Mentions Here’s a few other scary airports you might not want to visit. Don Mueang International Airport If you’ve got some downtime in between your flights, you might consider hitting a golf course. And the Don Mueang International Airport, located in Bangkok, conveniently has a golf course sitting right in between two of its runways. McMurdo Air Station You’re probably not headed to Antarctica, but if you are, beware of the McMurdo Air Station. This airport's runway is nothing but ice... Kai Tak Airport The Kai Tak Airport in Hong Kong was so dangerous that it was actually shut down in 1988. Pilots would have to be careful not to land in the sea, which shouldn’t be too difficult, but it’s quite the challenge when you’re trying to avoid hitting all the tall buildings and mountains surrounding the airport. Princess Juliana International Airport While this airport is located in St. Maarten in the Caribbean, spectators are more excited about the airport itself than the beautiful beaches and scenic views this stretch of islands has to offer.

Join us as we explore some of the most interesting Unexplained Mysteries from around the world. Mystery Of The Wisconsin Giants A 19th century archaeological study of burial grounds surrounding the city of Madison show that the state of Wisconsin might have produced something bigger than a few cheese heads. August 10th 1891 on the Smithsonian institution reported that it found several large burial mounds on the shores of Lake Mills. In the 50 years prior to the discovery many people who would settle the land have reported finding burial mounds all across the area. Chariots In The Clouds If you've been watching our videos for any length of time you know by now that we have a bit of a soft spot for extraterrestrials and unidentified flying objects. Why modern science has not provided us with any definitive proof that we have been visited by aliens ancient historical texts and hieroglyphics might suggest that we once lived alongside these Cosmic beings. Stone Spheres of Costa Rica Sometime in the 1940s workers for the United Fruit Company came across a strange find while harvesting fruit in the Costa Rican Forest. While sifting through the brush 1 worker noticed a giant perfectly rounded Stone ball sitting in the clearing. The workers knew that there were inhabitants on the island but they were unaware that they were in that specific location. Ancient Vehicle Tracks In Turkey This led many historians and scientists to speculate if a similar scenario had occurred once before many Millennia ago. Gate Of The Sun It seems most of the ancient Unexplained Mysteries have to do with scientist disbelief in the upper body strength of our ancestors. Once again we have a Multi-ton megalith found in an atypical location. This one is called La Puerta de Sol or the Gate of the Sun Which can be found Near Lake Titicaca in La Paz, Bolivia. Structure is a single piece of carve Stone in the shape of a doorway.

Here we take a look at the most toxic plants and flowers and the horrifying things they do to a human body. Some of these dangerous plants can be easily found in your backyard. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list It’s a well-known fact that, unless you’re a trained survivalist or know just about everything there is to know about all species of plants, you shouldn’t touch or taste an unknown plant, no matter how pretty or delicious it may look. Water Hemlock Also called a cicuta, this is one plant that’s not to be messed with. Upon first inspection, it looks like nothing more than an innocent wildflower, but it’s best to leave this one right where it is. Oleander Don’t be mistaken, this beautiful flower can pack a punch. While it might make a gorgeous centerpiece on your dining room table, the last place you want this flower is around your food. The Suicide Tree Related to Oleander, the suicide tree, also called cerbera odollam, is used to commit suicide and murder more than any other plant, and no, it isn’t caused by hanging oneself. The seeds of the tree are highly toxic and contain a toxin called cerberin. Castor Oil Plant You might remember this plant from one of our other videos, but in case you missed it, here’s a refresher. The castor oil plant contains a substance called ricin. Even though it sounds like a delicious Asian dish, I definitely wouldn’t eat it. White Snakeroot Fun fact of the day: Nancy Hanks, which was Abraham Lincoln’s mother, died from white snakeroot. But it wasn’t because she ingested the plant first hand. She just went to the kitchen, poured a glass of milk, and shortly after, she died. Rosary Pea Also called crab’s eye and jequirity, these highly toxic seeds are found in tropical areas and are native to Indonesia. The seeds are commonly made into jewelry, including prayer rosaries, and sometimes used for making percussion instruments. Deadly Nightshade Unlike the ever-popular candy, first, deadly nightshade is sweet, and then it’s sour. If you happen to be traveling in central or southern Eurasia and see a plant with dull green leaves and large, shiny black berries, don’t touch them, no matter how tempting they look. Wolfsbane Also called aconitum, monkshood, and devil’s helmet, this plant can be found in gardens as well as in wooded areas. Even though it’s used in Chinese medicine and Ayurveda, in large doses, it can kill you almost instantaneously. Manchineel Tree The Manchineel tree, which produces a fruit commonly called the little apple of death, is probably the most toxic tree on our list. Tobacco Yes, that substance you can find in your local grocery store or gas station is deemed one of the most toxic plants on planet earth. Every inch of the plant contains the toxins anabasine and nicotine alkaloids. There are in fact quite a few ghost towns that still stand in an eerie silence across the globe. Garnet, Montana During the gold rush of the mid-19th century it was not uncommon to find numerous small mining towns throughout the mid and north-west. Though these towns had fully completed homes they were only of use while there was gold in the mines. Virginia City, Montana Another ghost town in Montana? It's almost as if there is nothing interesting in that state...... Virginia City, Montana is actually one of the most famous ghost towns in the United States. Cahawba, Alabama In Cahawba, Alabama it could be both. The small town once served as Alabama's first state capital when the territory was first settled in the early 19th century. Glenrio, Texas At first glance the town of Glenrio, Texas looks like a scene from the Children of The Corn. If you ever have the opportunity to stop by this town - don't.
